Care manual

Pearls and silver jewelry are delicate pieces. Because they have different material properties, they each require their own, yet coordinated care. Below you'll find a scientifically sound care guide for pearl and silver jewelry (a combination of pearls and silver) to extend its shine and lifespan:
I. Basic principles of pearl care

Avoid chemicals
No contact with perfume, hairspray, cosmetics or cleaning products.
Order: first apply makeup and perfume, then pearls. When removing jewelry, first remove makeup.
Protection against scratches
Do not allow contact with hard surfaces or other jewelry.
Always store individually in a soft cloth or box.
Pay attention to your surroundings
No sun, heat or moisture – otherwise cracks or mold may occur.
For longer storage: place some sulfur-free paper in the box (not directly on the pearls).
Gentle cleansing
Wipe with a soft cloth after use.
For dirt: lightly moisten with cold water and allow to dry immediately. No alcohol, no detergents, and no ultrasound.
II. Basic principles of silver care

Prevent oxidation
No contact with sweat, sea or thermal water, cosmetics.
Wipe dry after use. Remove when exercising, showering, or swimming.
Proper storage
Store in airtight bags or boxes.
Add chalk or anti-oxidation paper, but not directly to the beads.
cleaning
Slight discoloration: rub with a silver polishing cloth, avoiding pearls.
For more severe discoloration: briefly immerse in a highly diluted baking soda solution, brush gently, rinse, and dry immediately. Do not use silver baths or acids on pearls.
III. Special instructions for pearl silver combinations

Structural protection
Check the connection between the pearl and the silver regularly.
For adhesive joints: no contact with water or heat.
cleaning
Clean pearls with a damp cloth and silver with a silver polishing cloth.
No immersion baths – pearls may absorb water or become damaged.
Wearing & Control
Wear pearls occasionally (care for them lightly, then clean them).
It is better to wear silver less often to avoid oxidation.
Check jewelry for damage or looseness every 3–6 months.
❌ Do not store pearl and silver jewelry with mothballs or insect repellents (chemicals damage both).
❌ Do not use toothbrushes or hard cloths on pearls; do not rub the pearls when cleaning silver.
❌ Do not store pearls in plastic bags without air circulation (risk of moisture build-up).
